Demon's Souls Hits Lowest-Ever PS Store Price, Just $13.49 in the US
Demon's Souls on PS5 has dropped to its lowest-ever price on the PlayStation Store, with the US Digital Deluxe Edition at 85% off and the UK deal less generous.
Demon's Souls, one of the few true PS5 exclusives, has dropped to its lowest price yet on the PlayStation Store. Push Square reports that the best deal is in the US, where the Digital Deluxe Edition is down to $13.49.
The prices
The Digital Deluxe Edition, which bundles in bonus items, is marked 85% off in the US. At $13.49, it undercuts the standard edition, which sits at $17.49. That makes the Deluxe the better buy for US players.
UK players also get a record-low price, but the saving is smaller. The Digital Deluxe Edition costs £29.69 and the standard edition £34.99, according to Push Square.
Push Square's editor says US buyers should pick it up at this price, even if they are unsure about the game. The outlet calls it one of the best PS5 games to date. That is the writer's opinion, not an official verdict.
About the game
Demon's Souls is a remake of the original action RPG from FromSoftware. Bluepoint developed the PS5 version. Push Square notes it technically isn't a pure exclusive because it is a remake. Sony has also never officially ported it to PC.
The source does not say when the discount ends. Sale prices on the PS Store can change, so check the listing for an end date before you buy.
What readers are saying
Commenters on the Push Square article raised a few points. These are reader claims, not confirmed by the article.
- One reader who paid $17.49 a couple of days earlier asked about a refund. Another replied that you can get a refund within 14 days if you haven't downloaded the game.
- Some UK readers said the lower price wasn't shown to them. One suggested this comes from personalized pricing on the PlayStation Store. Push Square does not confirm that.
What it means for you
If you are in the US and want the game, the Digital Deluxe Edition is currently the cheaper option, and it includes more content. In the UK, the price is the lowest it has been, but it is still well above the US figure.
Check your own PS Store page, because readers reported that the price shown can differ between accounts. Push Square also says its wider roundup has 40+ more recommended savings.
