Privacy policy

Short version: we don't ask who you are, we don't set tracking cookies ourselves, and our ad partners are named below.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Who we are

This policy covers fairgatereport.com ("Fairgate Report", "we"). Privacy questions: editor@fairgatereport.com.

What we collect

  • No accounts. You can read everything without registering or giving us your name or email.
  • Audience statistics. We count page views per day, per page and per type of referrer (for example "Google" or "social"). This counter uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses, device IDs or anything else that could identify you.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) for security and to keep the site running. They are kept for a limited time and not used for advertising.
  • Emails you send us are used only to answer you and are deleted when no longer needed.

Advertising and cookies

The site is free because it shows ads. Ads are served by third-party networks, such as Adsterra and Monetag. When an ad loads, the network may set or read cookies or similar identifiers and receive information such as your IP address, browser, device type, approximate location and the page you are reading. Networks use this to choose which ad to show, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud and measure performance. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Adsterra (cookie and privacy policies)
  • Monetag (privacy policy linked in the site footer)

We do not set advertising cookies ourselves and do not sell or share personal information with anyone. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a private window, or turn on Global Privacy Control; the site works fully without cookies.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, the EU or the EEA, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you live in a US state with a privacy law (such as California), you have the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We hold almost no personal data; for data collected by ad networks, contact them directly using the links above, or write to us and we will help.

Children

The site is a general news site, not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and the date at the top will show the latest version.
