Questions and answers
When will I get my Texas food stamps in October?
Texas loads SNAP benefits from Thursday, October 1 to Wednesday, October 28, on the day of the month set by the last two digits of your EDG number. For example, 00–03 gets benefits on Thursday, October 1 and 96–99 on Wednesday, October 28.
Does my Texas SNAP deposit day change every month?
No. Texas uses the same day of the month every month, decided by the last two digits of your EDG number.
How the dates are set
- Benefits are loaded on the day of the month set by the last two digits of your EDG number.
- This schedule applies to households certified on or after May 1, 2023. Households certified before then keep their earlier issuance day unless their benefits stop for at least six months and they reapply (Texas Works Handbook B-251).
- Your EDG number is on your notices and in the Your Texas Benefits account.
