Why Battlefield 6 stands out
Battlefield 6 arrives just as its Las Vegas-themed Season 5 begins, according to Kotaku. Xbox says EA Play members can claim the EA Play Deployment Pack and the Season 5 EA Play Pack. Game Pass Ultimate includes EA Play, plus 10% off eligible EA digital purchases.
Kotaku describes the campaign as enjoyable but rough around the edges, and the multiplayer, especially on bigger maps, as stellar. Many Pure Xbox readers said they would try the game now that it's on the service.
What about Gears of War: E-Day?
Gears of War: E-Day is not part of this wave. Xbox Wire only mentions it in passing, as a game players are already digging into. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 also launches this month, but Kotaku reports it won't join Game Pass at launch.
Pure Xbox adds that eight games are leaving the service in early October, including Pacific Drive, A Plague Tale: Requiem and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
What it means for you
Check your tier before you plan your downloads. Most of this wave is limited to Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and only Neon Abyss 2 is listed for Premium. Beyond These Stars is PC only. If you want to play titles leaving the service, the sources only say they go in early October, so check your library soon.
