Cardinals Finalizing Trade of WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Who Is Inactive vs. Lions
Arizona is reportedly finalizing a deal to trade the former No. 4 overall pick, who will be inactive Sunday against Detroit while the Texans stay in the mix.

What we know
The Cardinals are close to moving Harrison, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 draft, according to reports from ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Saturday. Details are still being worked out, so the trade is not yet official.
Arizona informed Harrison of its decision ahead of Sunday's game against Detroit. He will be inactive while the trade is completed, sources said.

Who could land him
The Houston Texans have talked with Arizona and are thought to be squarely in the mix, per Schefter and Rapoport. CBS Sports also confirmed Houston has been in contact with the Cardinals.
A move to Houston would reunite Harrison with his college quarterback, C.J. Stroud.
The Indianapolis Colts had been linked to Harrison as a team seeking a passing-game weapon. But a source told ESPN's Stephen Holder the Colts are not involved in talks, and longtime Colts reporter Mike Chappell reported the same after they initially did their due diligence.
Tom Pelissero reported Arizona wants a second-round pick or better. ESPN's source said the Cardinals were asking for a second-rounder "and more."
The numbers
Harrison is the son of Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Sr. and a former two-time All-American at Ohio State. He won the Biletnikoff Award as a junior in 2023.
As a rookie, he caught 62 passes for 885 yards and eight touchdowns in 16 starts. Last season he had 608 yards in 12 games, and CBS Sports says a concussion played a part in that dip.
This season he has just five catches for 85 yards through four games. Last week against the Giants he caught one pass for 12 yards. CBS reports the Cardinals are paying him $35.3 million over his four-year rookie deal.
Background
General manager Monti Ossenfort had publicly said Harrison remained part of the team's plans. CBS Sports says that now appears moot. Its report also points to drops and productivity concerns, and says first-year offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett showed little interest in moving Harrison around to create touches.
Harrison has addressed the criticism. "Stick to my process," he said recently. "Don't change anything I've been doing."
What happens next
Watch for the trade to be made official, including the compensation and the destination. Harrison will not play Sunday against the Lions.
