October 2026 Canada Benefit Dates: CPP, Canada Child Benefit, Disability Benefit
Federal and provincial benefit payment dates on the Government of Canada calendar for October 2026, from CPP and OAS to the child benefit, plus how long to wait before calling about a late payment.

The official Government of Canada benefits calendar for October 2026 is now set. Here is every date listed on it, along with the provincial payments and the official advice if money does not show up on time.
Federal payment dates in October 2026
The national programs on the government's calendar are paid on these dates:
- Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit: Monday, October 5 (this date has already passed)
- Advanced Canada workers benefit (ACWB): Friday, October 9
- Canada Disability Benefit: Thursday, October 15
- Canada child benefit (CCB): Tuesday, October 20
- Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Old Age Security (OAS): Wednesday, October 28
CPP and OAS share the same payment date this month, so recipients of both should see them together at the end of October.

Provincial and territorial payments
Two provincial programs appear on the October calendar. The Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) is paid to people in Ontario on Friday, October 9. The Newfoundland and Labrador Disability Benefit (NLDB) is paid on Friday, October 23.
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) notes that Canada child benefit and GST/HST credit payments include related provincial and territorial programs. So some residents may receive provincial amounts as part of those federal payments rather than separately.
What if a payment is late?
The government asks people not to contact it right away. The wait depends on the benefit:
- Canada child benefit: wait 5 working days from the payment date before contacting the CRA.
- GST/HST credit and other CRA benefits: wait 10 working days.
- Other programs on the benefits calendar: wait 5 to 10 business days before contacting the program.
