OpenAI Brings GPT-6 to ChatGPT With New Intelligent UI for Visual Answers
OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 Sol and Luna in ChatGPT, adding Intelligent UI, which mixes text with charts, diagrams, buttons and tools. Here is who gets it and when.

OpenAI has brought its GPT-6 models to ChatGPT and introduced a feature called Intelligent UI. Instead of replying only in text, the chatbot can now answer with interactive visuals placed directly inside the conversation.
The company introduced its first GPT-6 models last month. This update brings two versions, Sol and Luna, tuned for everyday ChatGPT conversations.
What Intelligent UI does
According to OpenAI, Intelligent UI lets ChatGPT decide how to present an answer based on the question and what the answer contains. Responses can include graphics, tappable buttons, forms, charts and other interactive elements.
The format changes with the request. A comparison might appear side by side, while an explanation might come as an interactive diagram. When plain text is the most useful reply, ChatGPT can still give just that.
The Verge reports that OpenAI trained GPT-6 on when to produce interactive visuals instead of text, and on how to format them. OpenAI's own examples include:
- A diagram of a seven-speed bicycle, with buttons that highlight different parts.
- A Mahjong lesson that shows each tile and sorts them into categories you can scroll through.
For more complex prompts, ChatGPT can create interactive widgets. Users can explore a concept or change inputs and watch the results update.

Tools built inside the chat
ChatGPT can now create small tools within a conversation. The sources list a calculator, a bill splitter, a retirement savings calculator and a retro game as examples. The tool appears in-line with the response, so you don't have to leave the chat.
Other GPT-6 changes
OpenAI says GPT-6 lets ChatGPT start answering while it is still working, adding information to the response gradually instead of waiting for the whole reasoning process to finish. The Verge adds that the model performs better web searches and quickly gives partial answers while it gathers information.
OpenAI also says GPT-6 "showed stronger resistance to attempts to bypass its safety training." The sources give no details on how that was measured.

Who gets which model
Paid subscribers on Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise get GPT-6 Sol first, with the rollout starting today. The Verge describes Sol as the mid-range model.
Go and Free users get GPT-6 Luna, described as the more efficient model, beginning Thursday. The Verge says the rollout is global. Both outlets say Intelligent UI arrives with GPT-6.
What it means for you
If you pay for ChatGPT, you should start seeing GPT-6 Sol and interactive answers starting today. Free and Go users should see GPT-6 Luna from Thursday. If you often ask for comparisons, explanations or quick calculations, you can now ask ChatGPT to build the tool or visual in the chat.
