Phantom Blade Zero Sells Over 4 Million Copies in 72 Hours, Developer Says
S-GAME says its Wuxia action RPG Phantom Blade Zero passed four million units sold in 72 hours across PS5 and PC, after launching on October 29.

Phantom Blade Zero, the Wuxia action RPG from developer S-GAME, has passed four million units sold within three days of release. The studio announced the figure, according to Gematsu, which reported that total sales have "surpassed" the mark in 72 hours.
What we know about the launch
Phantom Blade Zero came out digitally on October 29 for PS5 and PC. On PC it is sold through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Gematsu reports that a physical edition for PS5 is due in 2027.
The four million figure is a total across platforms, as the developer announced it. The sources do not break sales down by platform or storefront. They also do not say whether the number counts only paid sales or includes other forms of distribution, so treat it as a headline total.
Reception on Steam
The game's Steam page shows that 89% of 4,426 user reviews were positive at the time the page was captured. That count will change as more players weigh in.
The store page also carries press quotes. It lists a 9/10 from IGN, a 10/10 from Wccftech and a 9/10 from GamesRadar+. These are the outlets' own scores as displayed by the publisher, not a verdict from this site.
What the game is
You play Soul, a warrior framed for the death of his master who has only sixty-six days to live after a wound to the heart. Hunted by former comrades, he tries to unravel a conspiracy across the martial world.
The game is built in Unreal Engine 5 and uses motion capture, with fight choreography inspired by Hong Kong's golden age of martial arts cinema. S-GAME calls the style "Kungfupunk", mixing martial arts with machinery.
Combat centers on more than 30 primary weapons and over 20 "Phantom Edges", which players obtain by defeating powerful foes.
What it means for you
If you are on PC, the Steam page lists a 1080p/30 FPS target with upscaling on a GTX 1660 6GB or RX 5500 XT 8GB. It also lists a 1440p/60 FPS target with upscaling on an RTX 3060 Ti 8GB or RX 6700 XT 12GB. An SSD is required.
Players who want a disc will have to wait for the 2027 PS5 physical release. Steam also lists an upgrade pack that moves owners of the Digital Standard Edition to the Deluxe content, so avoid buying both.
