Buckshot Roulette Is Coming to PS5, PS4 and Switch, Publisher Confirms
The hit horror game Buckshot Roulette is heading to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles, though publisher Critical Reflex has not yet announced a release date.
Buckshot Roulette, the shotgun-based horror game that became a hit on PC, is heading to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. Publisher Critical Reflex and developer Mike Klubnika announced versions for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Switch, according to Gematsu.
The companies have not said when the new versions will arrive.
What is Buckshot Roulette?
The game is described as Russian roulette played with a 12-gauge shotgun. It is set in a gritty underworld nightclub, where you face off against a character called The Dealer or against friends.
Players load the chamber, use items to improve their odds and decide how far to push their luck. The official pitch ends with the line: "There's no prize for second place."
Where you can play it now
The game first launched on Steam in 2024 and drew critical and popular praise. It scored 85 on Metacritic and earned nominations at The Indie Game Awards and The Horror Game Awards. Sales have passed four million units to date.
It is already available on Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC. On PC it is sold through Steam, the Microsoft Store and itch.io. The listed price is $2.99, £2.49 or €2.99.
So the new announcement is not the game's console debut. It is the first time the game has been confirmed for PlayStation and Nintendo hardware. Whether the new versions will cost the same, or add anything, has not been stated.
Another Critical Reflex release
Critical Reflex also announced console plans for another horror game. Mouthwashing, developed by Wrong Organ, is set for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Switch and PC via the Microsoft Store on October 29.
A physical edition of Mouthwashing will be available for PS5 and Switch through Fangamer. Its first-person story follows the dying crew of a shipwrecked space freighter.

If you play on PlayStation or Switch and have wanted to try Buckshot Roulette, you now have a confirmed route to it. You will have to wait for a release date, price and any extra features. If you already own it on PC or Xbox, nothing about your version has been announced as changing.
