Deadlock Minor Update Changes Healbane and Seven Heroes, Per Patch Notes
Valve's Deadlock update dated November 5 adjusts Healbane and seven heroes, including Celeste, Baba, Rat King and Nurse Harrow, with exact numbers from the notes.
The Deadlock patch notes Valve posted on Steam list balance changes to one item and seven heroes. Below are the changes grouped by area, using the numbers exactly as the notes give them.
Item change
Healbane: Stacks now diminish 20% more aggressively. At 2 stacks the figure goes from 57.8% to 54.7%, and at 4 stacks from 82.2% to 72%.
Hero changes
Apollo
- Riposte: Pommel Hit now also disarms the enemy.
- Riposte: Pummel hit now ends any preexisting parry on the target. (The notes spell the two hits differently.)
- Riposte: T2 duration rises from +0.6s to +0.7s.
- Itani Lo Sahn: T3 bonus damage rises from +50% to +60%.
Baba
- Spirit Resistance scaling drops from 0.7 to 0.5.
- Melee damage per boon is reduced by 10%.
- Baba's Brew: cooldown goes from 27s to 28s, Burn DPS spirit scaling from 0.15 to 0.13, and cycle time from 1.5s to 1.6s.
- Granny Long Legs: Melee Resist and Debuff Resist each fall from 30% to 25%.
Celeste
- Dazzling Trick: T3 silence duration falls from +1.25s to +0.75s.
- Radiant Daggers: cast range falls from 30m to 25m (moved to T2). Spirit Amp per Stack falls from +7% to +6% (moved to T3).
- Shining Wonder: slow goes from -32% Movement to -28%, and cooldown from 160s to 170s.
- Shining Wonder: bounce range falls from 15.5m to 15m, the T1 move speed slow from -16% to -14%, and T2 bonus damage from +90 to +80.
Deadman Danny
- Close The Deal: bonus damage to targets under half health falls from +75% to +55%.
- Strix Salvo: spirit scaling is reduced by 8%.
- Chimera Mk1: T2 goes from 150 Heal On Hit to 125, and its heal spirit scaling from 2.0 to 1.7.
Mo & Krill
- Scorn: heal from heroes rises from 1.2x to 1.3x.
- Burrow: damage radius increases by +0.5m.
- Sand Blast: T2 changes from -24% Slow and -26% Dash distance to -28% for both.
- Combo: health per kill rises from 40 to 50.
Nurse Harrow
- Bullet damage rises by 8%.
- Lurking Terrors: vertical angle rises from 50% to 65%, and fear buildup time falls from 2s to 1.75s.
Rat King
- Bullet damage rises from 5.7 to 5.8, and ammo from 24 to 26.
- Scrap Grenade: the fuse time extension when meleeing the grenade drops from 0.4s to 0.25s.
- Rule, Ratannia!: Move Speed rises from +3m to +4m, and T1 now also reduces cooldown by -25s.
Fixes, maps and modes
The notes contain no separate fixes section, and they mention no map, mode or other item changes. All listed entries are balance and ability adjustments.
What it means for you
If you play Celeste, Baba or Deadman Danny, check your ability numbers, because most of their listed values went down or took longer cooldowns. Apollo, Mo & Krill, Nurse Harrow and Rat King mostly received increases. Valve's notes do not explain the reasons for any change, so how it plays out will only show in matches.
