Aerosmith Tease Hollywood Bowl Return After Canceled Farewell Tour
Aerosmith have teased two Hollywood Bowl shows on Oct. 29 and Nov. 1, their first full concerts since Steven Tyler's vocal injury ended the Peace Out tour.

Aerosmith are heading back to the stage. On Monday, Oct. 5, singer Steven Tyler posted a short teaser video showing him putting letters on the Hollywood Bowl marquee, with the dates Oct. 29 and Nov. 1 visible. It would be the band's first full shows since their farewell tour fell apart.
Key facts
- Aerosmith are teasing two Hollywood Bowl shows, billed as "Aerosmith & Friends."
- The dates are Oct. 29 and Nov. 1 in Los Angeles.
- Full details were due Tuesday morning, Oct. 6, according to Billboard.
- A source told Page Six that Steven Tyler's vocal cords are in "great" shape.
What the teaser showed
In the clip, Tyler, 78, climbs a ladder with rock photographer Ross Halfin helping with the spelling. Halfin wonders whether Tyler knows how to spell Aerosmith. Tyler insists the sign should read "& Friends," as in "Aerosmith AND friends."
The video ends with a snippet of "Sweet Emotion" and a message that "all will be revealed tomorrow." Asked whether he misses performing, Tyler joked, "Of all the things I ever missed, I miss my mind the most."

Why the return is a big deal
Aerosmith's Peace Out farewell tour was meant to be their last road trip. Per Billboard, the band abandoned it in September 2023 after Tyler fractured his larynx just three shows in. The tour was postponed, then canceled, and the band announced it was retiring from touring.
At the time, the band said a full recovery from the injury was not possible. They called retiring from the touring stage a "heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary" decision.
Since then, the band hasn't disappeared entirely. Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry, 76, released a five-track EP, One More Time, with Yungblud in November 2025. The pair also performed a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. Tyler has also made a few singing appearances, including a six-song set at a Grammy benefit for his Janie's Fund and the Back to the Beginning farewell concert for Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath.

Tyler's voice and the guest list
A source told Page Six that Tyler has spent the time since the canceled tour on rehab and rest, and that he is excited to share the stage with famous friends. The insider said a full lineup of special guests is being finalized. Several rock greats, past and present, are reportedly in talks to join. None of those names has been confirmed in the sources.
In April, Perry told Billboard the band was "definitely not in touring mode" but that there were "other options." He said Tyler had needed a year off before he could start stretching his vocal cords. Perry added that "everything we do is fragile."
What happens next
The next step is the full announcement the band promised for Tuesday morning, Oct. 6. The sources don't say how tickets will be sold or what they will cost, so check official Aerosmith and Hollywood Bowl channels. The shows are set for Oct. 29 and Nov. 1.
