Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Arrives November 6 With New Maps, Modes and DMZ Zone X01
Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone starts November 6 with three launch maps, a DMZ location, two Warzone maps and a new Battle Pass.

The PlayStation Blog has detailed what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Call of Duty: Warzone players get when Season 1 launches on November 6.
Multiplayer maps and modes
Three new maps arrive at launch. Backstab is a war-torn map with abandoned tanks and drone ordnance, set in bad weather. Canyon has towering rock walls, with a River near the Convoy Ambush and a winding Cliff Path. Shoot House is reimagined, set in snowy North Korea.
Two modes arrive on day one. Grind is the fan-favorite mode where you eliminate players, recover their dog tags and take them to the Bank to score for your team. Drop Zone returns too. Teams fight over a single rotating objective while Killstreak packages are periodically airdropped over it.
More comes in the Mid-Season update. Ministry is a new map where an embassy is damaged during a diplomatic summit. Overflow is built around a factory and surrounding farmland. Counter Attack is a new mode where you detonate bombs at the enemy Comm Station while defending your own.

DMZ and Warzone
DMZ gets a new location, X01, a previously undiscovered weapons facility now seized by enemy forces. It has a maze of tunnels and shifting hazards. As the facility closes off extraction points, players must complete required steps to escape.
Expect multiple pages of new DMZ Orders inside X01, a Threat Briefing for taking on the biggest Boss threats from Commanders, and Resupply Runs. New Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints and DMZ Survival Kits are also part of the season.
Warzone gets two new maps, Hajin and Zodiac, along with extra game modes and gameplay features. A full Warzone Season 1 roadmap has not been published yet. The post says more intel is coming soon.
Battle Pass and new weapons
The Cronen Osprey Assault Rifle and the CSG-35 SMG arrive in the Season 1 Battle Pass. The Cronen Osprey is described as quick and reliable. The CSG-35 has the highest fire rate in its class.
The pass has 100+ unlockable items on a linear 100-tier track. Rewards include Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints and Finishing Moves. Players who fall behind in the premium Battle Pass are automatically caught up to the reward matching the current day of the season, up to day 50.
What it means for you
If you want to play from day one, the key date is November 6, and the update is free. The post did not give a launch time, so check in-game or official Call of Duty channels on the day. Warzone details are still incomplete, so watch for the promised roadmap.
