Forza Horizon 6 City Life Update Adds Free Halo and Xbox 25th Anniversary Items
The City Life update brings two Tokyo race routes, three new cars and anniversary freebies, including a Halo livery and a Master Chief outfit still to arrive.
The City Life update for Forza Horizon 6 has arrived, and it comes with a handful of free extras tied to Halo and Xbox's 25th anniversary. Pure Xbox reported the update landed the day before its article, and it says most of the content is already playable.
Two of the headline freebies are not live yet, though. Here is what is in the update and how you will get each item.
The Halo and Xbox freebies
According to Pure Xbox, every player will receive a free livery for the 2025 GR GT Prototype that celebrates 25 years of Xbox and Halo. It will be delivered through the in-game Message Center, so there is nothing to buy or unlock.
The outlet says it had not seen the livery appear yet. Pure Xbox also notes that it did get a separate Master Chief livery for the Lamborghini Urus.
The Master Chief Outfit is the other Halo item. It is an unlockable character model in the Week 2 Photo Challenge of the Festival Playlist, so you will need to reach and complete that challenge once it opens.
The developer's wording, as quoted by Pure Xbox, describes it as a way to celebrate "25 Years of XBOX and Halo." Pure Xbox adds that the Halo livery and Master Chief skin had not arrived at the time of writing.
The IKEA Prop Pack
The update also includes an IKEA Prop Pack. It contains items from the recent real-life IKEA collaboration with Xbox, and you can use them to decorate your custom garages. Pure Xbox called it a "neat little addition."
What else City Life adds
The bigger gameplay additions are the new routes and cars. Pure Xbox lists:
- Edo Circuit Road Race: one of two new permanent race routes in Tokyo City.
- Shuto Charge Street Race: the second new permanent route.
- Three new-to-Horizon cars: these appear in the Festival Playlist.
The two routes are permanent, so they should not rotate out the way some seasonal content does.
What it means for you
If you play Forza Horizon 6, you can try the new routes, cars and the IKEA props now. Keep an eye on your Message Center for the GR GT Prototype livery, since it is sent to all players rather than claimed in a shop.
For the Master Chief outfit, plan to take part in the Week 2 Photo Challenge when it becomes available. The sources do not give an exact date for either item.
